"Hello Parents: The WIN Career Ready Assessment will be administered at Allendale-Fairfax High School on Thursday, April 10th and Friday, April 11th to all juniors, and Monday, April 14th will be makeup day. The start time will be 8:30 a.m. We ask that your child arrive to school no later than 8:10 a.m. No bookbags, cell phones, apple watch, purses, or any electronic devices, etc. will be allowed in the testing environment. So please leave those items at home. The student(s) earning a platinum, gold, or silver credential will be eligible to receive a gift card. So please encourage your child to do their best. If your child is a car rider, please have them at school no later than 8:10am. Please be reminded to be in uniform on test day. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me." It was bittersweet as the Seniors arrived to pick up their caps, gowns, and rings. Some of them were early graduates and received their diploma as well. As the days count down to graduation, the moment becomes more surreal. We are so excited to see our Seniors walk across the stage in May.

Congratulations to our newest members of the Senior BETA club. This is an honor that comes from academic excellence. Scholars must maintain 3.5 GPA in order to be eligible. Students must also have good character and a positive attitude to be considered. We are so proud of each of our inductees for this notable achievement!

Allendale-Fairfax High School held a BETA club induction for its' new members. Current members lit candles symbolizing the pillars of the organization; Achievement, Character, Leadership, and Service. "BETA club is not just a line on a resume," said Assistant Principal Brandyburg. He explained to the inductees that BETA club represents a charge to service.

Our students experienced the joy of service while distributing food to local families. Giving back helps us build character and strengthen morals. Seeing the gratitude from our community was priceless! We are grateful to be a part of the food drive and to help members in our community.

Thanks to Ms. Phyllis Smart, of The Smart Box, we hosted a food drive at Allendale-Fairfax High School. We provided an assortment of fruits and vegetables, along with water and chicken. Prior to the drive, students packed the goods and gathered in unity to ask for blessings for the food distribution.

Juniors get ready, we have ACT and WIN Testing coming soon! On March 26th, students in their third year of high school will be taking the ACT. Then April 8-10, students will be taking the WIN assessment, which determines career readiness. These assessments are crucial, so it's vital that you properly prepare. Make sure to study, rest, and eat a proper breakfast!

The College and Career Fair was full of opportunities to learn, connect, and explore different paths post graduation. There were a few colleges like Coastal Carolina University, Lander University, and Clemson University. Students got to learn about various career paths including STEM, cosmetology, and law enforcement.

Allendale-Fairfax Middle and High School held a College and Career Fair for our students to discover their potential futures. Students had over 20 stations featuring both colleges and careers that they could visit. They explored different career paths, networked with professionals, and gained valuable insights into the working world.

Some of our students from Allendale-Fairfax High School attended Be Pro Be Proud at Denmark Technical College. They had fun experiencing simulators and practicing procedures. This event was a great way for our scholars to explore various careers including welding, construction, and plumbing. We are grateful for Be Pro Be Proud SC and DTC for giving our students this opportunity.
