Our selection included a variety of rice and pasta, plus savory meats and filling sides. These foods reflect the rich diversity, culture, and creativity woven throughout Black history. Sharing these dishes allowed us to honor tradition, celebrate culture, and recognize the powerful ways food can promote fellowship and connection.

The ceremony was accompanied by music from our AFMHS Chorus and our band. Superintendent Dr. Cave gave closing remarks reminding scholars that Beta Club is only the beginning of a lifelong journey of academic excellence. Today, we proudly inducted 30 new members into the Beta Club at Allendale-Fairfax High School. Each inductee was formally recognized and accepted the duties and responsibilities of becoming a Beta scholar. Our current members participated in a candle-lighting ceremony representing the four pillars of this distinguished organization: character, leadership, service, and achievement. Surrounded by the support of family, friends, teachers, and administrators, we celebrated our students’ accomplishments and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence on their academic journey.

Our Team of Nurses are working in collaboration with PEBA to secure free preventative health screenings for our employees, retirees, spouses, and or dependent children ages 19 and older. This screening will include check your health risk, blood pressure, blood work, lipid panels, as well as your height and weight. We played our final home regular-season games on Friday against Royal Live Oaks Academy Royals. Both our girls and boys basketball teams secured victories, with the Lady Tigers dominating 54–29 and the boys battling to a 51–50 win. The journey continues for our Lady Tigers as they host the first round of playoffs tonight at 6 PM against the Lake View High School Gators. It has been a long and competitive season and we appreciate all the support we have received and hope you will continue to encourage our Tigers!

On Friday we hosted our Senior Night for our Winter Athletes at our final regular season basketball game. For our Lady Tigers we honored Alexis Saxon and Micayah Carter. We also celebrated our boys basketball players, Jaden Williams and Ty'quavin Tilley. Kennovia Hayward and Makenzie Morell, two of our varsity cheerleaders were also recognized at the ceremony. We commend these student athletes for the time and dedication they put into their sport, and we appreciate their parents for supporting their athletic and academic journeys.

Our Beta Students at Allendale-Fairfax High School had fun competing at the annual Beta Club Convention in Myrtle Beach. Caylee Lofton participated in the art and singing contests. Zy'Nahriah Rhodes, De'Narie Breeland, Jaiden McKnight, and Erica Bradley competed in the first round of the quiz bowl. We are glad we can provide our scholars with opportunities to showcase their talents, challenge their skills, and represent our district with pride.
