In conjunction with the Emergency Readiness Team, Allendale County School District will reopen on Friday, September 1, 2023. All schools will follow their normal operating hours. Dear Parents and Guardians, Due to the potential impact of Hurricane Idalia and the advisement of the Emergency Readiness Team, Allendale County School District has made a decision regarding plans for the remainder of the week. As previously stated, today will be a half day for both staff and students with the following schedule: · Allendale Fairfax Elementary School - 12:30 p.m. · Allendale Fairfax Middle School - 1:15 p.m. · Allendale Fairfax High School - 1:16 p.m. According to our Emergency Readiness Team and the most recent weather updates, Hurricane Idalia may still have strong winds and heavy rain as it arrives in South Carolina this evening which could affect our area into early Thursday morning. Therefore, no students or staff will report to campus on Thursday, August 31, 2023. All athletic events, after-school programs, and extracurricular activities on Wednesday after 12 p.m. and Thursday, August 31, 2023, are canceled or rescheduled.
