Mrs. Dopson hosted a heartfelt Cheerleader Luncheon, uniting cheerleaders from the elementary, middle, and high school teams. The event was even more special with the presence of former cheerleaders and cheer moms, creating a sense of legacy and community. Food and gifts were distributed as a small token of appreciation. It gave athletes a chance to connect and bond before the upcoming practice season. The luncheon also served as a warm welcome for the new squad and a meaningful send-off for graduating Seniors.

Our district-wide Pep Rally and Signing Day was full of energy! We proudly celebrated the incredible employees who have chosen to recommit to our district's mission. Their dedication was honored with well-deserved recognition, exclusive district merch, and generous signing bonuses for their early commitments. This event wasn't just about appreciation—it was about igniting school spirit and energizing our students as they gear up for testing season. Let's carry this momentum forward and finish the year strong!

Jaylen Outing also attended the annual STEM Signing Day held at USC Alumni Center in Columbia. He was selected based off his interest in STEM and his Tallo profile. He is pictured with representatives from BMW, Michelin, Nucor, and Boeing, who also attended the event. It was an inspirational experience and a great way to network with industry leaders.

Seniors Jaylen Outing and Ja'Khari Johnson, deserve a big round of applause for graduating from Denmark Technical College last Saturday, April 26, 2025. Both scholars earned a Certificate in Applied Science in General Studies. Balancing both high school and college coursework requires discipline, time management, and resilience. So their achievement is a testament to their strength, focus, and determination to secure a brighter future. We are so proud of you!

We are excited to announce that the Tiger Drum Line is coming back and better under new leadership! Tryouts will be from 3:30 PM-5:00 PM starting Tuesday, May 6th through the 8th. Students come out to see if band is a good fit for you! No prior experience is required and we welcome all rising 8th-12th graders to attend! We hope to see you there as we work on rebuilding our band, one step at a time!

This morning, Seth Laton and Juwann Barnwell joined our daily book club and chose to read Building a StoryBrand 2.0 and True Grit. The first book emphasizes that you should never assume people automatically understand how your brand can impact their lives. As an entrepreneur, it's essential to clearly define your brand’s purpose and promote it consistently.
“Hard work will never go out of style” — a quote from True Grit — resonated deeply with our student, Mr. Barnwell. Both books sparked powerful insights and meaningful discussion. We're excited to continue exploring new reads and growing our book club along the way!

We appreciate the South Carolina State Football team for stopping by to speak with our players. Coach Howard was scouting for Class of 2026 athletes. He invited our players to attend their Chennis Berry Football Prospect Camp. His visit alone gave our team the motivation to keep grinding and practicing, so that we can continue elevating our game and stay ready for opportunities like this. We’re grateful for the exposure and encouragement — it means a lot to our athletes to see that hard work truly pays off. Thank you again, Coach Howard and the SC State Football team!

Gentle reminder that tomorrow we will be having a food drive at Allendale-Fairfax High School from 10AM-12PM. This event is brought to you by the Allendale County Schools Food and Nutrition Department and The Smart Box. We are excited to give back and engage with members of our community! Lineup begins at 9:30 AM and will be on Law Enforcement Drive (DMV Road). We hope to see you there—come out and enjoy fresh, free produce!

Juniors and seniors, prom tickets are officially on sale for $50! Get ready for a night of glamour and excitement on May 17th at 7:00 PM at the Fairfax Hut. This year’s theme is The Great Gatsby and we can't wait to throw the party of the century! Grab your tickets from Mrs. Wright and get ready for an unforgettable evening!

Coach Lewis and several of our football players recently attended the Palmetto Combine, where nearly 250 schools competed. One of our very own athletes, Zamal Ellison, achieved the highest vertical jump of 40.5 inches! This is a major accomplishment, especially considering that our small, rural school earned a title among such strong competition. We can’t wait to see how our football program continues to prosper!

The next session of our Football Skills Camp starts tomorrow! Students aged 10-13 can develop offensive and defensive skills with Head Football Coach, Travis Lewis. Sessions are during the month of April only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:35-4:45 PM. This camp is meant to lay the foundation, so that students can practice their techniques. It's not too late to start, sign up today to start training!

It is important that you fill out this survey so we can better serve our scholars. Your feedback helps us determine our progress and identify areas where we can improve.

Here are the delicious bites you can expect for the month of April!

It was bittersweet as the Seniors arrived to pick up their caps, gowns, and rings. Some of them were early graduates and received their diploma as well. As the days count down to graduation, the moment becomes more surreal. We are so excited to see our Seniors walk across the stage in May.

Congratulations to our newest members of the Senior BETA club. This is an honor that comes from academic excellence. Scholars must maintain 3.5 GPA in order to be eligible. Students must also have good character and a positive attitude to be considered. We are so proud of each of our inductees for this notable achievement!
