Today, we welcomed the Class of 2027 for Senior Orientation as they prepared for an exciting school year ahead. Students received valuable information about college applications, senior activities, graduation expectations, and other important milestones to help them start the year strong. To make the day even more special, every senior received school supplies, including clear backpacks, to ensure they're ready for success from day one! A heartfelt thank you to Hampton Lumber for generously providing clear backpacks for all of our scholars and to Chandler Law Firm for keeping everyone refreshed with snacks and beverages. Our JROTC students opened the ceremony with the presentation of the colors, marking a meaningful beginning to this special celebration. Throughout the ceremony, the AFMHS Chorus kept the audience engaged with several beautiful musical selections. Their performances added to the joy of the occasion and helped make the evening even more memorable for our graduates and their families. We are grateful to all of the students and staff that participated in this momentous occasion, and thank all of the family and friends who attended to support our scholars.

We were honored to hear from our graduates and administrators during the ceremony. Our Salutatorian, Zy'Nariah Rhodes spoke about the purpose and necessity of failures. Valedictorian Santos Milan, reflected on his journey and reminded us to be slow and steady like a turtle in order to win the race. Our Superintendent Dr. Vallerie Cave was immensely proud to confer the graduates as they head into the real world to pursue their aspirations.
