Dear Allendale County Families and Students, We are excited to announce that we will be hosting Thanksgiving Dinners again this year! On November 14th, we will be serving a true thanksgiving feast: turkey, dressing, rice with gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, whole wheat roll, yams, orange slices, and pears! Each plate will cost $6. Payments can be sent in advance through your child or you can pay in person. Please pre-register by the deadline, November 12th. We can't wait to serve you!

Greeting parents. This is a friendly reminder that picture day is tomorrow . All funds should be paid online. It is also Awards Day tomorrow at 1:00 pm in the gym. Thanks.

Greetings parents,
This is just a reminder that tomorrow is Popcorn Day! Also, we will have parent conferences from 4:00-7:30 pm tomorrow. We hope to see you in the building.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We regret to inform you that we are having issues with our phone and internet. We are experiencing intermittent service that is interrupting phone calls at our district. This outage is affecting 4-5 nearby counties as well. We are working to resolve this problem. However, it may interfere with the streaming of tonight's Board Meeting. If so, we will upload the meeting as soon as we are able. We apologize and will provide you with the soonest update available.

In honor of International Dot Day, students at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School wore colorful dots and spots to commemorate "The Dot" written by Peter H. Reynolds.

We are honored that our partner, FullMind, did a case study on how their virtual teachers have benefitted our district. Thanks to FullMind, we are able to supply our scholars with some of the best instruction, even with the rural teacher shortage we're currently facing. Watch this video to see how FullMind has impacted our district: https://www.fullmindlearning.com/

Please join us for our August Board/Community Meeting next Monday, August 26th at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the AFHS Multipurpose Room and will preview the 2024-2025 school year. We will also review policy changes and recognize students from the Governor's School. Please attend to stay updated about some of the upcoming changes to Allendale County School District.

ATTENTION: WEATHER UPDATE
Greetings parents and families. School will be closed on Tuesday, August 6th and Wednesday, August 7th due to the impending storm Debby. This includes all after-school activities and events. This decision was made based on the expert recommendations of the Allendale County Preparedness Team. We are grateful for this partnership and many factors were considered in this decision. The safety of our staff and students must always come first. Since we are in the beginning days of school, e-learning is not an option at this time. Everyone please take precautions and be safe in the storm. Please look for the next update on Wednesday, August 7th via our Facebook or website. Thank you for your support of Allendale County Schools #TogetherWeCanDoThis

AFHS hosted a Orientation for the 10th and 11th grade students and their families. Representatives from Denmark Tech and USC Salkehatchie were there to present information about their dual enrollment and early college programs. Students were also informed about the new rules and expectations for the upcoming school year.

Today is the last day to pre-register your child! Powerschool coordinators will be in the elementary and high school cafeterias until 4:30 PM. Registration is required to receive a clear backpack and school supplies at the Back to School Bash. If you fail to register before the bash, we will also have stations on the day of the event where you can register.

Starting today, parents can register their children at the elementary or high school cafeteria from 9:00 AM-4:30 PM. Registration is required to get free supplies and backpacks at the Back to School Bash, so we strongly suggest pre-registering!

Thank you to all of the speakers and guests who attended the 5th Grade Promotional Ceremony!

The rising 6th graders are so talented! They also performed a sign language dance and piano recital.

The students also recited poems and speeches as part of their graduation ceremony.

The 5th grade class performed "Roar" by Katy Perry to celebrate their milestone!

Congratulations to our 5th graders who recently graduated to the middle school. We are excited to see you continue your academic journey at Allendale County Schools!

There was an outpour of love from the families of the kindergarten graduates. Without their support, our students would not be successful. Thank to everyone who gets involved in the education of our scholars.

Our kindergarteners are moving on up to 1st grade! They had a vibrant ceremony in the Allendale-Fairfax Elementary Gymnasium.

There is excitement in the air!!! Tomorrow May 29, 2024, at 2:00 State Superintendent Weaver will make a special presentation and we want as many students of Allendale County Schools as possible to be in attendance. All Allendale-Fairfax Elementary students will be transported to the gymnasium of Allendale-Fairfax Middle/High for this presentation.
A-F Elementary students will start boarding the buses to be transported to A-F Middle/High at 1:20 PM. At the conclusion of this presentation all car riders will be transported back to A-F Elementary by 2:50 PM for dismissal. All students that ride a bus home will board their respective buses at A-F Middle/High and be transported home from there.
All A-F Middle/High students that ride a bus will be dismissed at 3:30 instead of 3:15.
Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to maintain the security and safety of our scholars. #TOGTHERWECANDOTHIS
